Today is Music Monday and for all of our guests who love new music news we have some diverse and fresh music-related topics on our blog today.

We’ll start with the in house music news, then we can’t go wrong with Madonna news, followed by the scoop on J. Cole’s third #1 Billboard debut.

Pierdo La Cabeza – Zion y Lennox , Gus Films

We had some special guests from Miami at our hotel this past weekend.  A while back we received news form a Miami director, Gustavo Camacho, of Gus Films who informed us that he was interested in shooting a music video at our hotel.  The artists he was working with were the popular reggaeton duo Zion & Lennox, both based out of Miami, Florida.

Gustavo and his crew, shooting exclusively with a RED camera, reserved our rooftop, lobby, a deluxe suite, and a section of our restaurant, Mundo, to film the video for their hit single “PIERDO LA CABEZA” / “I Lose My Mind.”  Check out the lyric video below (which currently has over 3 million views) followed by some of the footage our team captured from behind the scenes.

Rebel Heart – Madonna

In other music news, Madonna fans are going crazy over her new six song iTunes release.  Although her album wasn’t expected to release until spring 2015, thirteen of her “unfinished demos” by were leaked recently pushing these six tracks to iTunes early.

More music is expected to release February 9th followed by the full album release in late March.

Check out her Q&A from Rolling Stone for the inside scoop on each of the new tracks. Also take a listen to them via YouTube links below tagged with our favorite quotes from the Rolling Stone Q&A.

2014 Forrest Hills Drive – J. Cole

J Cole has blessed us with another #1 album topping the Billboard charts with, 2014 Forrest Hills Drive.  His album is not only number one on the Billboard 200 Chart, it’s the #1 rap album of the year. Many people feel the Eric Garner decision and it’s relation to his track “Be Free” contributed to his success with this album, but you can’t ignore this lyrical rapper has consecutively made hit albums.    Check out his David Letterman “Be Free” performance and the video for his other popular single “Apparently” below.

We have to admit #MusicMonday is one of our favorite days at the Paper Factory Hotel and we always welcome our music fans and music makers to stay at our hotel on any day.
